I used this amp 8 or 9 months ago and it was working fine. I put it in the closet when I was done. Today  I plugged it in and nothing. What would go wrong by just storing the amp? I guess I should have covered it to prevent dust from getting into it. One site said to clean the potentiometers and another said they are hard to get too. Any suggestions.

Being in electronic service for more than 40yrs.

Can't tell how many times I've seen ic chips, transistors,  etc die from just sitting.

You'll need to bring it to a service center  probably

Double/triple check to confirm there are no "ID10t" errors since its been a while since you used the amp.  Check your gain staging, where you are plugged in etc, etc, etc.  These simple things are all mistakes I've made at various times.

If you don't find a fix, look for an internal fuse,  If not that then I concur with Eracer its time to visit a Tech but with a quality Solid State amp like a Fishman, I think its unlikely it died from sitting.

Just to add to the Fishman Loudbox.. mine was in a carpeted room, humidified properly with my guitars away from all windows sun etc.. Very rarely used.  I have 3 other amps also in the room..

This one the top has started to peel away and deteriorate .. anyone else with these issues.. this ones only a couple years old and I have never ever had an amp do this?   I am thinking about sending them photos with a letter of complaint ref quality issues.

My fishman Loudbox Mini started to peel when less than a year old. It peeled at any location which was bumped but especially under the handle caused by fingernails. Fishman wouldn't do anything about it.

@columbo @Oldjock  That is somewhat surprising about the Fishman Loudbox mini. I've played they in the store, and always thought they were great sounding. If I ever got an acoustic amp, that would (would have?) be my first choice. If the store won't do anything about it, I would certainly make an inquiry with Fishman. Overall I think they have a good reputation and would want to make their customers happy. At least they could correct the problem.

@Triple-oFishman has been a big supporter of Steve's fall fingerstyle retreat. They have provided a number of nice giveaways the past few years (including a couple amps). Mention that you are part of Steve's guitar community when you contact them - it can't hurt.

Good luck.

Apparently that's not the case Neil. A check of most guitar forums will show that this is a common problem with the Lb Mini. It is a terrific acoustic amp with little competition in the marketplace. I love it for the sound, so I look past the appearance.

Interesting.  I wonder if the problems started after a change of some sort at the company?

I took zero care of mine, frequently used it as a PA monitor at near full volume, carried it around to practices where it got bumped around and it worked fine and looked good as new when I let it go.

The Fishman peel is its main weakness. It would be sweet with hardwood sides. Has anyone complained about this? I assumed I was the only one.

I took the fishman to an electrician who works as a amp repair guy for a guitar store. He had it for two months and he couldn’t fix it. So, I called fishman and shipped it to them. Within a week I got it back, but it wasn’t the same one I had sent them. It was brand new. Really surprised since the amp wasn’t under any warranty and was  about 5 years old.

Thats what I call customer service😁 . Like I said, despitea few issues mentioned here, I'd buy one.

Funny reading about the “ peeling” issue. Just noticed mine also starting to peel on the bottom edges. I have had it less than a year. Obviously this remains an issue with an otherwise fantastic piece of equipment.
