Hey Gary, I too use the AirTurn, 4 pedal variety. I generally only use the scroll function so in hind sight , the duo may have been a better choice. I use Onsong as my song library, best money I’ve ever spent for anything. Best wishes Greg

So interesting, your comment on used gear. I have been trying to downsize myself, selling things. Everyone comes in low balling, when you do get an offer. Easy to buy, hard to sell. I ended up giving away my Squire bass to a young lady who broke down in tears when she got it. Better than selling , my best feeling ever. Greg

Being a huge Santana fan (my PRS Hollowbody is Santana Yellow😊)), I've had the chance to see him several times. I also recently finished his tome, The Universal Tone, which reflects on his biographical evolution and spiritual soul. You are correct, they are great moments to experience in concert. Greg

Hey welcome to the forum Professor. I don't hear much from digital lovers here outside of SixStrings who plays out publicly with his Line 6 Helix. I also have moved into the dark side ( as die-hard tubers might say) over the last few years. It began with the Kemper( though I have a Line 6 Pod HD 100 which I never have connected with) and followed it up with the Fractal Ax8. My band plays covers and I have found the units to allow me to cover many styles and tones without having a boatload of pedals. My tube amps are gathering dust as well. Both of my units generate very authentic rigs, but the convenience in gathering and assigning rigs is much easier with the Kemper. In addition, I can profile my own gear and add to the offerings. The aftermarket products are more numerous and easier to load with the Kemper as well. The tweaking required of the Ax8 rigs is overwhelming to me at times. I"d rather audition a rig and go with it in the Kemper....more time to play guitar. I'm sure you will enjoy the Quad Cortex. I have no experience with it, but as with all these products, there are positives and negatives reported on the various forums. Most however say they all are great options regardless. Steve’s guitar was manufactured by Valley Arts, no longer in production. Fender has reintroduced this Brent Mason guitar, which appears identical to the Valley Arts, with a B Bender . A little on the expensive side, nearly $2900. Greg

It’s interesting how our musical preferences drift over time. My first really nice guitar was PRS C22 and Martin 000 that I purchased to inspire me to begin my voyage through the L@M Guitar course. Along the way , I acquired a couple Fender strats, a couple more PRS’s, then discovered the Tele. I played them primarily from then on for several years, selling my first PRS along the way. The other guitars hung out in their cases. Then last summer, I began playing the PRS’s exclusively in all my gigs again and the Teles have languished. That said, I too love my Teles and have no plans to ever part with them. They are incredibly durable and versatile. Greg

Fishman Loudbox for sure. I have played through my Line 6 PA, even with effects, it does not compare to the Loudbox. You can use the Fishman also for vocals in a pinch, and I have seen bar performers do it. Yes you can use it in a small gig. I have myself. I own both the battery and Artist models, plenty loud. Interestingly, I had a Gibson style Traveler guitar and it would not stay in tune well. The tuning positions were awkward to adjust as well for me. Did not keep it long. May be the luck of the draw…. Greg

Also from Canada, I purchased an electric Junior neck/body kit from Precision Guitars. The workmanship and finish was excellent with a precise neck pocket fit. Very little sanding was required. The rest of the materials I purchased separately and the final artwork and finish was done by an artist in Florida. The Twilight Zone guitar in my avatar here is that guitar. Stewmac makes complete kits as does Grizzly Tools, from the latter I have also purchased and built an electric strat guitar . The wood required considerable finish sanding and the pocket needed some adjustment, but both companies provide all the necessary parts for completion of the guitar. Finishing materials are extra to purchase from Stewmac, were part of the purchase from Grizzly. It's great fun to build these. Best wishes on your project. I will concur, the cost is likely not a savings over a built guitar, particularly if you have custom painting. I went for high end pickups, electronics and tuners. Greg

Great find! Teles are fun to play. They dominate my stable with varied PU configurations. Have fun with this new addition, let it inspire you to great music. Funny thing about relics. Some of my guitars are on there way to relicing already…. 😋. Greg
