I too heard a strangeness to the vocals, went back and reviewed the trackings and discovered they didn't line up in the time signature. I had a blooper while recording and doubling that caused a mishap in alignment of both tracks, and when I tried to reposition the tracks manually, ended up creating a delay in the two tracks. That coupled with the panning and the audio effects created a huge echo. I deleted the errant track and redoubled....now it sounds normal and less affected.

I will try uploading to you.

Mandy.....I'm in!!!! You are the wise one. I set up my account so long ago with an old address, now I use the newer one primarily. Didn't think about that. A new rough mix is being uploaded now.

I like this one, the other mix sounded a bit spooky. It is a lovely song Greg, great work.

Strangeness, "verby", spooky...I think we all felt the same about the original vocals. I had to isolate each vocal track to identify the problem. The solution was much easier. An interesting (challenging)  chordal progression to create a melody line. Fun stuff.

Greg, there are two versions of the lead guitar track on box.com:
GG2-lead-original.wav is the recorded sound which includes guitar pedals, and
GG2-lead-mixed.wav is the mixed version with EQ, delay and more reverb added.
Use whichever you prefer.
PS. Could you upload a copy of the vocal track, please? I like to mix my own version but I don't have a vocal track on its own? Many thanks.

The mix is up in the Box for collaborators to review and post here. Sorry it took me so long. I worked with a friend who has a developed mix lab to learn some tips on mixing. Hope it passes the test.

I also like the way that Fretless has done the lead guitar. I had been wondering how to do fills over a rhythm track which sounds like a riff.
