  1. That is lovely Randy, I really enjoyed listening to it. You definitely have not lost your touch! I am so glad that you are back playing guitar again.
  2. Music theory is far more logical than the english language?. I have just learnt something this morning which made me understand why the minor scale sounds different to its relative major. Knowing why is really empowering. Good luck with your learning fluidguitar, I hope you enjoy learning it as much as I do. Actually I am addicted to it!?
  3. Wow, that is great Henk, impressive song list too! Well done to you and the band.?
  4. This is excellent CapM, the blend of instruments is superb making a great sound. I really love the lyrics and your singing is top notch as always. The slow down at the end did fell like it was creating some uncertainty as if you were trying to convince us that it will be alright. Another professional production from you, great stuff!
  5. Beautiful Watson43, great job. Superb guitar playing and singing. The harmony was also excellently done.
  6. Wow, excellent post Mark. I think that there are plenty of people who may not have considered doing the guitar music for weddings. Your post will not only bring this to their attention but it will give them a great idea of what is required and what it is like to do it. The second thing that I want to say is .... Well done Mark! ?? ???? I never knew anything about when you learnt to play or how the course helped you. Your story is superb and I can appreciate all of the work that you have put into your guitar playing even more. Wow 100ish songs! That is a lot of songs to have a) learnt and b) keep fresh in you mind.
  7. Happy Birthday @IanD I hope that you have a great day. ?????? Thank you for all of the help and encouragement that you have given to me throughout the years. Best wishes Mandy
  8. I am so very glad to hear that! Yipeeeeeee!!!?????‍♀️
  9. I have the Yamaha THR5 as my practice amp and it is superb. The THR10 would give you a few options to play around with if you are not ready for pedals yet or unsure of the kind of sounds that you want. The THRs don't take up a lot of space.
  10. Fabulous! ??You guys sound great. ?All of that hard work certainly paid off.? I hope your back feels better really soon.
  11. ?Happy Birthday Steve?? Have a great day.? ?Thank you for everything that you do for us. ?You have made a huge positive difference to lots of people's lives.????
  12. I do not know anything about locking the bridge as such but I will tell you all that I know about the subject of Ibanez Jem tuning, although you probably know all this stuff better than I do!? I bought an old Ibanez Jem 555 so I have had to learn how to tune the guitar properly. Although my guitar came with the original instrustion manual I still did not really understand it. I searched the web and came up with this site which helped me a lot www.guitarrepairbench.com/electric-guitar-repairs/floydrose_tremolo_setup.html So what I do to tune it is loosen the locking nuts that sit over the guitar nut first, adjust the tuners a little bit going from string 6, then 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 (only a little bit on each string) and then go back to 6 and do them all again with just small tweaks and basically keep going untill you can get them all in tune. It is a fine balancing act, you can not tune each string to the correct pitch one by one, you have to adjust each a little. I think of it as kind of like a sea-saw but with tension instead of weights. When they are all in tune you can tighten the locking nuts at the guitar nut. This will put it out of tune again so you then have to do the fine tune adjustments using the turning wheels at the end of the bridge. With the nuts locked that should remain pretty stable for a while at least. Like Blue Dog said, I do not use the tremelo bar as I am not at that stage yet so it remains in the case. I hope this helps.
