It can be another tool in your arsenal of learning. Some tools work well for some and not for others. The CAGED system can be one of these tools. If it helps you learn to visualize and remember the fretboard notes, chords, various scales and the patterns and the correlation between all of these, then it is worth checking it out. Learn all you can from all resources. I played around with the CAGED system enough to recognize why it works and that it helped me with learning the fretboard. I use some of the chords, but I do not have all the shapes mastered. Sometimes the trick is figuring out what works for you and this takes some experimenting, time, practice, persistence and patience. Don't be afraid to experiment but also remember that it is easy to go down those rabbit holes and get sidetracked. Remember to have fun and if you are learning, then you are still on course! Learning the guitar always comes back to those three P's.........Patience, Practice, persistence! NO FEAR!

It teaches you to play the songs using the material you are learning in the LMG course. What good is an instrument and learning to play it, unless you play music (songs)!

Just wanted to share. Last night Tarpon Point Marina hoisted the Annual Sounds of Jazz and Blues Concert. The concert is put on by the Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department and we get to physically hoist the concert event her at the Marina. We had a great time with great food and cold beer and wine and especially a outstanding blend of Blues and Jazz music and artistic musical talent ! ARTISTS: ELLA JET- A young local singer. BETTY FOX BAND- A Floridian Artist............a great blues singer. She is a mix of Etta James Blues and soul and Janis Joplin gravel and grit. She killed it! She is headed up to Muscle Shoals next month to get studio time and cut a CD. Jonathan Butler........Jazz and R&B soul music with a heavy influence of gospel and south African roots.

I have had an occasional scratchy pot, before you do anything else, run the volume knob back and forth half a dozen times to try and clean and clear it. Detoxit is second step for me.

Mike- I have not played the T5, but I did attend services where the church music director played a T5 and he switched back and forth during songs and it sounded really nice from out in the cheap seats.

Griff has some great courses. He can get a little long winded at times trying to ensure he is making his point. I like that better than going so fast you don't get comprehension of the material.

Jazzy Beatle- I read chapters 1-4 of the free versions. I love his sense of humor and it is good reference material for theory. I do not find anything new in theory from Wayne, but a little different slant. He like to go deep into the grey matter! I will look up the PDF version after I finish chapter 6. Thanks for posting.
