Hi Steve,
First, thanks to everyone for their response to my questions.
I am working my way through the Learn and Master course, and have been for the past 12 months or so. I'm on lesson 9. I am not a fast learner by any means, but I'm in no hurry either. I play/practice every day, its a great hobby and relaxes me after work. By the way, thanks for a great course! While I may never master the guitar, I am having a blast trying to. I was looking for something to supplement that course with actual songs, but didn't want a book that simply taught strumming to accompany vocals with a few licks thrown in. Instrumentals is what we called them when I was young, but then we didn't have tabs either.
I primarily flat pick fiddle tunes, and I like old timey/mountain music AKA Doc Watson, but I like most guitar music except metal (never got into hard rock). I've worked my way through the first two volumes of flatpick.com's essentials course and I'm working on volume three. I go back and forth between the two courses. I like pop/rock & roll from the 50s, 60s and early 70s both acoustic and electric. I'm not sure of any music I don't like except for hard rock/metal and I even like some of that.
Thank you for responding, and please let me know if you think the pop songs or even the rock songs would be good.
