Thanks to all that made the Guitar Gathering

Recommended Posts

Wow, what an incredible 4 days.  So nice to be able to hang out with guitar/singers/music lovers.  Look at all the different people represented and then throw in the common denominator...music and we seem to "get" each other.  Steve created a very safe environment for all of the brave souls to step out and play/sing for us.  The other musicians that came to help us learn were top notch, how lucky we were to be in their space.  A little glimpse into see what they have gone through to be where they're at.  Hope all made it safely home, and now to digest the information and put it in action.  Thank, Steve, Paulette and son (dang I can't remember his name) for making this run so smoothly and for securing dorms for us, that was a huge savings!  Next year I'm bringing my coffee pot so Marty and I can have coffee at 6 am, and anyone else that's up then.  So great to meet Marion, Gene, Ken, Tom ,John, Marty, and many others this year.  Duane, we're going to have to do more jamming, that was fun!!  This is the first time I've tried out the forum so hope I do this right.  Also a huge shout out to the video man!!!

Yeah! We would be remiss to not thank everyone else who attended for attending! It's all the people there who you meet and play with and learn with that make the Gathering great.

Greetings from Australia,

Hi everyone,

Well I made it back to the land of Oz ( Australia).

I just would like to say thank you to Steve and Paulette ( and Timothy ) for such an incredible conference ( and to everyone who helped with such an incredible event). I can't believe that I was able to see guitarists like Christie Lenee, Joe Robinson, Johnny Hiland, Will McFarlane and Phil Keaggy ( and of course Steve Krenz and Colin Hill).

I would like to thank everyone for making me feel welcome which included not only fellow guitarists, ( but also your partners) and  also the presenters of the worshops, lessons and jam sessions ( including Adam Wright,  Mel Deal, Greg Voros ( and crew) and Colin Hill).

A special thanks to Pat  and  Gene ( and Doris)  to who I owe a debt of gratitude and many thanks.

To all the fellow guitarists I enjoyed meeting you all ( too many names to list), and to the Trevecca Dorm buddies I had a great time.

Once agin thanks to Steve and Paulette ( and your team of helpers) for an amazing experience.

Hello from London, KY

The Guitar Gathering 2018 was a fascinating learning experience. The entire 4 days were cram-packed with musical activity that concentrated on the guitar. The spot on seasoned musicians of the concerts and master-classes/workshops were so inspirational. Thanks to the staff, crew, and artists that made the gathering great. It was an honor to meet so many dedicated people that love music and experience it live.  I hope to see Ray, Dale, Marion, Pat, Ken, Charlie, Collin, and all the fellow guitarists who I enjoyed meeting (just too many names to list) next year.

Thank you Steve and Paulette for your passion for music and your dedication to our learning.

Gene & Doris

Wow, what a joy to stumble on this thread!

Paulette and I have been recovering and digging out from the amazing conference.  The more I reflect on it, the more I'm convinced it was the best one we've ever had.

Our minds and hearts are filled with ideas for next year and we are, once again, blown away and humbled to be among such a wonderful collection of people from all over.

Thank you all for an amazing week of getting to know you and playing music.

- Steve

I'm happy and sad at the same time.

Very happy it was a great Guitar Gathering for everyone

Sad cause I'm not sure when I can attend another one.

You were missed Doug!

I to need to thank Paulette, Timothy and Steve for a great conference.  What a comfortable and engaging group of people to play, learn and laugh in a super environment.  We are looking forward to the next one and determination to move forward in the guitar journey is deeply satisfying.  Thanks again from all of the gray beards in attendance.  Fred
