so I started the new title in this section.

Steve's GG Finger-Style Fall Retreat Oct17-20 2024 (not conflicting with Halloween this year)

gx169.infusionsoft.app/app/storeFront/showProductDetail?productId=366

now with BIG in trepidation I registered for this. But after the wife for the third year in a row, being able to hang out in her friends condo in Florida for a week or two and I get zero trips. I made it a point to at least have one trip this year.

And not being a big finger style guy.. yeah I have a pattern I fall back on for pretty much everything. Be it Dust in the Wind or O Holy Night.

I'm going..

I have a hotel booked for Tue Oct 15 to Thur Oct 17.. and plan to 'tire kick' at Gruhn's, Carter's and Gibson Garage on Oct 16th.. Still have to book my flights yet.

I'm in the middle of live teacher lessons on Tues nights that my son is paying for (twist.. child pays for parents lessons LoL). But I'm not on finger style.. we're cleaning up my rock ambitions.

when the paid lessons end at the end of March; I will tackle Steve's LMG Finger Style course..

so I will have only 5 short months to at least get to a reasonable 'competency' level.

Oh no pressure...

Doug - I felt the same way when I went for the first time.   But trust me, you will be fine.    And I highly recommend Steve's Fingerstyle Course.   Hope to see you in the fall.

my LMG Session 10 Cannon in D was like , ok we know what you’re playing but I never stayed on it to make it good

Child pays for parent's lessons!!!!???  Did I read that accurately?  What a concept!!

Doug, have a great time and learn a lot.  I'm sure you will.  And we will be expecting live reports, daily, from the Retreat of @DianeB quality reports!   (Again, no pressure 😉 )

Doug,

We can accommodate 24.  Currently we have about 17 registered.

Always a great time. I look forward to it all year.

The very first thing I did after deciding to try this fingerstyle thing. Was buy Steve's L&M Fingerstyle course. It took me I think 8 months at 3 hours a day to get through it.  While trying to learn some of the lessons I would say to my teenage son, who was studying at his desk across from me. "Joe, this guy is killng me".

So....not easy if that is the first thing you try, but well worth the time and the best course I have ever taken.

Only in my dreams able to play guitar for 3 hrs a day. Good for you

What work doesn’t take away from time, the family and dog does.

I'm a 40min at lunch in the car and 1hr at night type of guy. Gonna take longer than 8mnths for me

Steve’s Facebook says all 25 spots are filled

That's really nice playing. If that's you singing you also have a great voice. Reminded me a lot of Cat Stevens of whom I'm a huge fan. Looks like the hard work paid off.

@Eracer_Team-DougHI'm lucky to be the retired one, so once my husband puts down the guitar and heads to work, I pick it up and play. Would love to sleep in a bit more, but he plays good stuff.
