  1. Oh now that does sound interesting. Let us know how the tesr drive goes!
  2. It looks like there could be a scientific explanation for Guitar Aquisition Syndrome. Are you a Ben or a Bob? ?? https://www.premierguitar.com/articles/26958-acoustic-soundboard-why-we-buy-multiple-guitars?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=PGN - 030318&utm_term=PG Weekly
  3. I find this site very good. I am using their program, it is a slow process for me?. https://www.earmaster.com/products/free-tools/interval-song-chart-generator.html
  4. Wow, great buy Ice9, thank you for the review, that looks really good. Enjoy!
  5. Thank you UncleHammy, Ian and Mark for your kindness. Yes the trigger finger and osteoarthritis are frustrating, it has been 15 minutes following my decision to stop playing (for a while) and I am already suffering from withdrawal symptoms ?. Thank you also to @Tom The Piddler for the like, it is good to see you on this forum with us Tom!
  6. Thank you Gerald for your kind comment on my playing. Thank you also for sharing your excellent advice on how to get rid of trigger finger. I am going to do it! I will stop playing musical instruments and I will rest my fingers more. I will also make sure that when I do get back into playing that I warm up properly. Thank you! ?
  7. I am still battling with my osteoarthritis and trigger finger. They are still slowing me down but I am never going to give up! Here is a 1 take version of "The house of the rising Sun" exactly as I played it in all its slowness. House of RS - 24:02:2018, 15.46.mp3
  8. Wow, great guitar. It was meant to be yours Six. Enjoy!
  9. Hello all, I just wanted to let you know that the GG1Collaboration is continuing at a good pace. rkl312 has produced an excellent set of lyrics and is working hard at producing the vocal track. Watch this space, as they say (whoever "they" are!).???
  10. Happy Birthday Ice9, have a great day my friend. ???

  11. This is Brillant, thank you CapM. Yes brilliant with a capital B.
  12. I think they may have used it someting like it when they were very young!???
  13. I love it. It would take some practice to be able to do that. Don't try this at home. Mind the cables! ?
  14. Hello Paul, 1. The only 2 ways that I know of getting MP3 files available for people to listen to on this forum are how I have done above, by dragging the file into the "drag files here section" or by putting them in Soundcloud and copying the link in the browser of the page containing the song that you want to share. For anyone who does not know about Soundcloud it is free to join and you get a limited amount of space to load and keep your songs. The limited amount of space in Soundcloud (for free) is the reason that I have started embedding MP3 files into the forum using the first method. 2. I do not have any experience with Studio One but I did a quick search on the internet and I found this answer to the file formats question: "I think you need to convert your files to one of those audio formats I think. They are mp3, ACC or WMA. You can try Mediabuddy tool for it." I personally use this online media converter as it was recommended to me by BobF_ on the L&M forum http://media.io I am glad that you are getting in to home recording Paul, please reach out to us if you need any help. Perhaps some of the folks reading this will be able to supply you with better answers than I can.
  15. What a fabulous guitar. Well done for getting it. Great story. Enjoy.
  16. Here is an interim mix with the rhythm guitar tracks added exactly as Fretless suggested (I hope). Wow, it sounds so much better than how I was thinking about doing it. Listen with stereo headphones to get the full effect folks. I have learnt something really valuable here about mixing. Thank you @Fretless. I have uploaded the rhythm guitar tracks and 2 versions of the Rhythm Mix (.M4a and .Mp3) to Box. @rkl312 please let me know if you need any other type of file to practice/record with. GG1 Rhythm Mix.mp3
  17. For me I end up strumming to the vocal syllables and so my down up strumming rhythm gets awful.
  18. Robert, you have started a great thread here. This is a subject that I am working on at the moment. I have watched a couple of YouTube videos, one of which was the Justin Guitar video that Blue Dog posted. The other is this one they both were great. I am now going to watch the other video that @Blue Dog posted. My progress so far is Mull of Kintyre with 1 down strum per beat but I keep forgetting the middle verse ?. so I must do what they say and write it all out by hand. Learning to be able to play each song while singing it will take a long time for me. You really do have to know both parts separately really well and the strumming has to be automatic before you can put them together. Thank you guys. Great thread!??
  19. Thank you Fretless that is a brilliant idea. I never would have thought of that.
  20. OK folks I just could not resist doing the rhythm guitar. I turned down the Bass guitar for the verses in my mixes. Lets have some fun with it! I have 3 versions here, the same guitar track but with different amp simulations on GarageBand. They are the Cool Jazz Combo, Bright and Clean and Surfing' in Stereo. The question is...........Which one should we use? GG1 CoolJazzCombo.mp3 GG1 BrightandClean.mp3 GG1 SurfinInStereo.mp3
  21. Thank you for the tip about the Wilkinsons tuners, I may do that one day. I like the SL in the video, I'm a bit of a fool for turquoise or pacific blue! It would be a great starter for the project you are thinking about.
