  1. Great call Mandy! Ian has already set a high bar. This is this seasons most requested Brides entrance. Ed Sheeran’s β€œPerfect”. I recorded it on my phone into GB and there is a lot of background noise. There are also two bass notes that are way more forceful then intended, but it is just the guitar played acoustically. I did double the track to increase the volume a bit. The photo was taken at a recent wedding I played in Marbella, β€œI love my office!” Mark
  2. Fantastic! Great writing and performance. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸŽΆπŸŽΆ
  3. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸŽΆπŸŽΆ great job Mandy! The mic problem didn’t effect the recording so not to worry. Great choice of song too. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  4. Thanks for keeping things Mandy! I didn’t want to do anything too obvious so it’s a little obscure,; the title track from β€œWave” by Antonio Carlos Jobim. This is one of the most difficult pieces for me to play, my timing is never right and I almost always stumble, but I play it anyway, every chance I get. One of these days I’ll get it right. (Or maybe not.) πŸ€— Mark
  5. Great job @Wim VD1 πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½!
  6. Great cover Ian! You have the perfect voice for Beatles numbers. πŸŽΆπŸŽΆπŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½
  7. Thanks for the challenge @watson43 . This is one I learned for a recent wedding. It’s under 2 mins and was a lovely piece to arrange and play around with. It definitely stays in the repertoire. Beatles tunes are always more difficult then I expect, this took a while to get under the fingers. It’s recorded live to my iPhone and was played through a Roland mobile ac. The little Roland is a fab piece of kit. I use it for my indoor Restaurant gigs and it’s plenty loud enough. enjoy.
  8. Great job Randy. Nice to hear someone else using a nylon string. πŸŽΆπŸŽΆπŸ‘πŸ‘
  9. Sounds fantastic Danny, I hope you feel well enough to add the vocals soon. πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸŽΆ
  10. I’m a huge Taylor fan too. Wonderful cover!. Fantastic playing and the background harmonies are superb. πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸŽΆ
  11. Thanks so much Mandy, you are very supportive and kind. It’s great to hear you back playing. πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸŽΆ
  12. Super cover Wim! That’s some serious playing, well done. πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½
  13. Thank you to you and you wife for the kind words. The GR20 is a guitar synthesizer. It Connects to the Godin with a 13 pin lead and converts the signal so that you can reproduce any instrument or group of instruments either on their own or with the guitar sound also coming through. On this track I played the guitar and as well as the guitar sound, you can also hear a string section in the background playing the same notes. It’s just one take, but it sounds as if multiple instruments were overdubbed. I just connected the GR20 to my iPad and recorded it straight into GarageBand. if you look up the ROLAND GR20 you will see all the sounds it can reproduce. i hope this explanation is clear. Mark
  14. Hi all, I hope you are well and feeling some spring in the air. Nothing posted for a while as it seemed some people were feeling the standard of the submissions was a bit intimidating and they wouldn’t give it a go. However, last months submissions were awesome, so now I’m feeling left out. 😭 this is a loose arrangement of a beautiful Mexican love song originally titled β€œSabor a mi”, it was recorded in English by Doris Day retitled β€œTrue to me”. It’s played on a nylon string Godin Multiac into a Roland GR20 to add some strings. I just can’t get this guitar to sound the way it should so this is the last recording with it. It’s now on eBay. The clicks and buzzes are the guitars fault, the clipping is entirely mine. β€œYou can always make a recording louder, but if it clips you’re screwed β€œ. Enjoy!,
