I put together a short video introducing Garageband, a very powerful Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) that comes with every Apple computer, tablet and phone. Enjoy!

Thanks! That was a good introduction; it's interesting to get input from someone who has been using GB for a long time. I just started using it as a step up from the voice recorder on my phone and I haven't looked for tutorials yet, but it seems that most people move on to fancier DAWs quickly.

Just to follow up on this thread, I had a guitar tech cut a new nut and move the E strings inboard ever so slightly. Worked like a charm. The guitar is now a pleasure to play. As a side note, if you ever get the chance to pick up a Breedlove Masterclass, don’t hesitate. They hold their own agains anything I’ve played

This is very true. Sometimes the corridor sucks a little while your waiting for the door to open but it will eventually. good luck

Hey folks, My 2 cents... I do believe your arm has polished the flat or matte finish. Or maybe not, either way it sounds like your enjoying the instrument an that's the most important thing. The are flattening agents that can be over-sprayed onto the finish to hide it, but that's likely to be undone after a few weeks of play. I would forget the finish and play the guitar. -Greg

Robert, you have started a great thread here. This is a subject that I am working on at the moment. I have watched a couple of YouTube videos, one of which was the Justin Guitar video that Blue Dog posted. The other is this one they both were great. I am now going to watch the other video that @Blue Dog posted. My progress so far is Mull of Kintyre with 1 down strum per beat but I keep forgetting the middle verse ?. so I must do what they say and write it all out by hand. Learning to be able to play each song while singing it will take a long time for me. You really do have to know both parts separately really well and the strumming has to be automatic before you can put them together. Thank you guys. Great thread!??
