Hello Robert, I think Cordoba are a very good make and they are well worth the money. I have an F7, the build quality is excellent, it sounds amazing (even with me playing it?) and I would not part with it for all of the tea in China! If the Cordoba C7 inspires you and you have started to bond with it in the shop then it is most likely that this is the one for you. They really are beautiful guitars.

Great information @CapM, thank you ever so much. I will definitely be analysing your song as well. I am starting to see that there are a lot of "tools in the box" to acheive build in a song. Now that I am aware I will "listen" more and experiment more with these tools.

Thank you @Blue Dog This is a great song for me to study. They certainly stepped up the vocals and added extra instruments. It builds really well. A very talented group of musicians. I am going to watch this a few more times! Yes, as you say, they did play harder later in the song, and the tempo may have went up a bit too.

I have been pondering for quite a while on the question of how to get a song to "build". With a song structure like this: Intro, Verse 1, Chorus 1, Solo, Chorus 2, Verse 2, Chorus 3, Outro I like the song to sound as if the chorus means more later in the song, kind of builds, sounds fuller or more dynamic somehow. I know we can add extra instruments in the later chorus' to help with that but I am assuming that there would not be much headway for increasing the volume of the rhytm guitar in the later chorus' to help build them up. Would a rhythm guitar player play the same strumming pattern for all 3 chorus' or would they make changes to the chorus strumming patterns for Chorus 2 and/or Chorus 3 in order to help the song build? Would they play different or altered chords to create more movement or do anything else different? Your thoughts on this would be much appreciated.???

Oh Greg, I did not realise that you had been through so much with your hands and wrists and to have come through it and be playing in a band, even with these problems continuing. I am now wondering if some of my cramping is due to poor positioning of my fretting hand also as I have been getting trouble with my wrist from osteoarthritis. I hope your plan works, please me know how it goes.

Hello Greg, I am so very sorry that this is happening to you. I know that if I get a bit tense and clamp down too hard with my fretting hand I get cramp and it gets better when I consciously fret the chords much lighter. But this is not necessarily what is causing your cramp. I hope someone comes up with a solution to this for you. Best wishes Mandy

If you are singing at the same time you may be able to associate chord changes with certain words, but it all takes time to learn. I am really in awe of you guys who play in bands.??

I have always enjoyed these collaborations and I have definitely learnt a lot by doing them. I know that some of my posts here can be a bit "wordy" but I am always trying to pass on the knowledge that I have gained while having a blast doing these songs. By the way, for anyone who is starting to learn the 12 bar blues...... did you notice that I used a standard 12 bar blues for the verse? Having read that 12 bar blues chord progressions are used in othere styles of music I thought that we could put it to the test. I love experimenting!
