Fingerstyle piece I'm learning: Ecossaise by Mauro Giuliani

Recommended Posts

I had some comp time on my birthday at the end of last month and got out of work early  and I was so happy it was so nice out. So I got to play my new Martin in the sunshine (my favorite place to play ) and I recorded two songs. This one and an original. I’m still working on getting the original on YouTube. So here is the instrumental: Ecossiase by Mauro Giuliani

I hope I did it justice!

thanks for watching

Maria

Lovely video Maria, it was great to hear you play and see and hear your beautiful new guitar.

Your playing is superb and the guitar sounds so very sweet. A match made in heaven I would say.💕

Oh Thanh you so much for your kind words. I have never felt “good enough” for the guitars my husband has bought me but this one makes me feel like I play better and that makes me so happy. Heck after the hand problems just being able to play good or bad is a blessing !!

thank you again

That was a lovely piece Maria, very nice playing! Your puppy dog is cute. I watched your video, imagining how nice it must have been to be playing out in the sunshine. I found myself thinking, spring WILL come again! (It was zero degrees in St. Paul MN this morning)

Awe thanks so much. and that was the last nice day as it turns out so I'm really glad I took advantage of it. It's cold and nasty here today but we did manage to take a walk because my husband and I have to lose of the extra holiday weight lol!

Have a great new year and thank you again for your kind words!
Maria

ps God willing Bailey will be 18 this year (in May)

Nicely played, Maria! And what a beautiful guitar!!! Kudos to you.

The piece of music is really nice, too - Mauro Giuliani's 120 Right Hand Studies even has some relaxing sounds to it so I'm not surprised this piece of music is sweet! Have fun with your new acquisition.

Very nice Maria. Beautifully performed. Your fingerstyle play is quite inspirational for me as I keep telling myself it is time to advance mine beyond basic finger flailing. Best wishes.Happy New Year.
