  2. also over the years I have found using strengthening balls or squeeze items to strengthen your right and left hand helps. Those are muscles you are not used to using and fatigue easily . It will come in time.. most have been through this at some point and time.

  7. and now I know where all my Picks went! Thanks for clearing that mystery up for me... LOL !
  8. Totally agree with Neil and others all great comments.. now as you move along it is customary to treat yourself to a new guitar.. as a suggestion also look for good and great guitars on closeout.. someone in the old forum found all of us a Takamine EAN 40c at Musicians Friend with hard-shell case for $300.00 . I also bought a Epiphone SG 400 Pro as a scratch and dent from Sweetwater for a couple hundred dollars.. nothing wrong or visible just was played in the store. I had them all professionally set up by my Luthier.. enjoy and welcome !
  9. wow.. darn now can we talk the wife into going.. We have never been to Dallas but did travel to the lower Houston area.. Looked like I was in south Florida with all the traffic. Oh my I have the Dallas 1978 theme song running through my head now.. good memories!
  10. wow definitely…. only problem if I do add another guitar to my collection.. along with our new adoptee from a shelter last week.. not sure I will have a bed to come back too! Just kidding too.. she is great and no problem with anything.. because a happy wife is a happy life.. !
  11. Very Nice.. once again thanks for posting!
  12. as we all know.. a sucker is born everyday.. I already told my kids and grandkids.. just keep all the guitars I have in good shape, case and all paperwork.. and they will have something after we have moved on.. this auction web site just confirms that. Wow..
  13. Great advice from all as usual.. so only thing to add for me .. is ….Welcome glad you are here! By the way.. just for me , I have stopped and started this course over the years several times due to life , work and moving.. so "Its All Good" You are doing fine. Whenever I play .. it makes me smile and grandkids love it!
  14. Gibson should be paying him... very nice as always! Congrats... wow !
  15. Wow.. that is fantastic.. I have heard from many who have met him he is a true gentleman ! I was amazed at all the great guitars at Gruhns on my visit ...but never made it to the "treasured room"..
  16. Good to see you back Slug.. and all our new members too ! Now if we could only have good old "mike" back to let us know about the great deals on guitars like the Takamine EAN 40 we all bought with the case for a closeout from MF for $300.00
  17. Good for you Greg.. life long memories and you encourage us all! Thanks for sharing..
  18. Very nice.. good info.. hope they do listen to the guitar customers this time vs what they think we want. Okay so is it just me or what.. I just looked at the 2019 prices and really don't see a big change.. seems Eastman sb59 are in line of what I would pay for a quality guitar or even PRS custom 24 type guitar are more in line.. what is your opinion?
  19. Very Nice Steve .. thanks for sharing. 2 questions.. what make and model guitar was he playing in the last video and also what is with the Harley Motorcycle on the floor.. Love both !
  20. now here is the real kicker.. and don't tell me some have not done this.. Working on a lesson of Steves.. next thing you know , you cant get it right no matter what that day.. next thing you know " Bingo" we have a cuss word out of no where.. but who we talking too , yep the guitar and wall ! Happy New Year ! Smile everyone I also agree no place for any of that here..
  21. interesting conversation.. I am drawn to some colors just for my personal like.. however , on my acoustic Takamine EAN40C, It seems to have what I call opened up after some years.. I also noticed the same on my special paint job , 50th anniversary Meinl Conga and Tumba.. I will always keep an open mind and guess buy what catches my eye and ear.
