Although I haven't been playing guitar for the last couple of years I knew that if I ever travelled to Nashville I would have to visit that holy grail of guitar shops... Gruhn Guitars. Well this week I was in Nashville for a convention and made the trek to Gruhn's shop. Well not only did I get to have a sit down with George Gruhn himself and meet Greg Voros but guess who walked into the shop... Vince Gill. Well what a gentleman he is... and just a regular guy. You would never know he was a country music star and a member of the Eagles. Not only did he sign a Gruhn's t-shirt for me (as did George) but he also played guitar for me. I have been looking for something to inspire me to reconnect with my guitars. Perhaps even return to my Learn and Master guitar course (I stopped at session 17... it was like I walked into a wall at no.17!) Well my visit to Gruhn's may just be the inspiration I was looking for. I have attached a photo of Vince playing for George and myself.
