  5. This month's theme comes to us from @UncleHammy Theme: Action Description: Any song that is about an action or has an action in the title.. Ex. Jumping Jack Flash, Running to Stand Still, Dancing in the Streets, A Lot Less Talk and a Little More Action, Wild Horses. You get the drift. This should be a pretty open topic. You may use BIAB or loops as long as you play the majority of the song with your real guitar. 12. I am not sure the airdate but Laura and spent the evening with 2500 of our closest friends watching Joe tear it up on ACL live. It was a great show with lots of great energy. I can't wait to see it on TV.
  13. Actually @Blue Dog it is the opposite. The neck is too high, the bridge is bottomed out. I have shimmed it to get a better angle but it is still too high. What I really need to do is to take it apart and route out the slot about 1/4 inch deeper.
  14. Yes I have put together a LP kit. Two recommendations 1) to to Stewart McDonald and buy some upgrade electronics. The electronics in the kits are really cheap and 2) check fit the neck and bridge. If the neck cutout in the body is not deep enough for you to adjust the bridge carve it out deeper. You can always shim it but if it is not deep enough to allow adjustment of the bridge you will have incredibly high action and nothing you can do to adjust it. I used my kit built LP strictly for slide guitar because the action is so high and I have the bridge adjusted to it's lowest setting. The kits are a fun project and you can customize the finish and all the details to make it a custom for your tastes. There are some higher quality kits out there if you want to spend $400 or $500.
  15. Another nice addition to the collection @bwillard
  16. @mark_h your videos always have interesting backgrounds. Great song, well played as always. Thanks for sharing.
  17. Beautiful tone and articulation @Wim VD that is one of my favorite Hendirx tunes, very well played.
  18. Well done @Texaspackerfan great kickoff song for the challenge, thanks for sharing.
  19. I have 2 favorite acoustic guitars. 1980 Martin D25K koa dreadnought and 2013 Taylor 416CE Fall SE rosewood back and sides with a red cedar top. They sound very different, the Martin has a very bright tone and the Taylor has a very dark tone. So it kind of depends on the song as to which I play. The Martin leaves more room for my voice if I am going to sing.
  20. We are under the gun tomorrow. We made it through April with no tornadoes in Kansas. First time in about 45 years. May isn't looking so promising.
