  1. Have you set up a box account for upload contributions, as we used in previous collaborations? Syncing could be an issue without one. Fretless may still have an active link. Greg
  2. Very sweet Wim! Great comping and a beautiful solo over this great jazz piece. I really enjoyed this. Thanks sharing. Greg
  3. Gerard, really nothing better than a looking glass into the past to see how far one has traveled. Your musical journey is remarkable and an incentive to me to keep pushing boundaries and always try to learn something new. Greg
  4. Awesome Kevin! Great vocals and nice upbeat strum technique for a timeless classic. Greg
  5. Thanks for getting this off the launch pad Mandy. I miss the contributions that were part of the old forum that Ian and Fretless fronted previously. I will be on an extended trip in Feb. and am not sure whether I would have the time (or the guitar with me) to contribute this month, but I may be in reserve for something if things get stalled. I am not particularly skilled at mixing or creating drum tracks however. I do encourage all who have even the remotest interest in recording and joining in a pool of fun to jump in and play. Greg
  6. So impressive Mark. great performance in a beautiful setting. Hope it brings many prospective couples to request your talents. Really talented players as yourself make things look so natural and flowing, in contrast to my flailing fingers. Something to aspire to for all of us. Greg
  7. My granddaughter , on her new Ukelele that was a present from us this Christmas, and I have done a little time together. She has written her 1st song ( age 13) that I will be recording and we will be collaborating on Free Falling soon, Tom Petty. Three children, 4 grandkids and I finally have one that plays music...and sings beautifully. Fun stuff. Greg Nothing better than family!
  8. No problems with mine stretching, and I have 3 of them. an amazing product! Greg
  9. She's a beaut! Glad you decided to pick it up. I have a Roadworn Fender Strat that I bought a few years ago to take with me when I go out of town. If it gets more dings in it, I don't mind. The truth is, almost all of my guitars have some wear and tear now. Like a new car, the first ding is the most painful , from then it is not a big deal to me anymore. Kind of matches my physical aging..... Play it with joyfulness. Greg
  10. My brother-in-law. Funny story with that....Early in our first set, the drums quit. The band played on of course. I heard my BIL cussing up a storm (drowned out by our guitars fortunately so the crowd heard nothing), then came back after 30 seconds or so. Seems his son had inserted his sticks too tightly into the holder and after one of them broke, my BIL kept trying to pull them out and they would go flying out of his hands one by one until he had none left. The moral is, hide the drummer if at all possible as anything is possible with him. Greg
  11. A street party last summer, I'm the singer, my PRS Hollowbody II through a Mesa Nomad....probably too loud, and I a bit flat on a couple of vocal notes. And another Greg
  12. When I bought mine, PRS had a promotion that included a free 12 month supply of strings with my purchase. They shipped me...... all 11's for my guitar. I still have 10 months left. Greg
  13. I need to try the Blue Chips as the seem to be a bit of a favorite. I play guitar with my fingers primarily, have hundreds of picks of all shapes, sizes, materials (even one made from a cymbal) but the ones I do use now primarily are the V Pick Traditional ultra light (red) and the Kodiac Crossover with the velcro strap, the latter is useful for one like me with a history of thumb issues. Greg
  14. Wow, nice find. I love playing my PRS II hollowbody, and yes it is ultra-light. For those of us who have had back surgery as myself, a wonder to behold....or should I say , just to hold. Love it and yours is a stunner!. Enjoy and congrats. Greg
  15. I'm in, already thinking of songs. Thanks for doing this Cindy, so cool. Greg
  16. Very cool story. You are in for some very amazing times together I predict. Thanks for sharing this heartwarming story with us. Greg
  17. I knew I had this somewhere but couldn't find it. Thanks for the memory reboot Greg
  18. Mark, as always, incredible...such a talent. What a joy to hear your contributions. Great fun Maggie and I am still having adjustments to the new call names, both yours and Ians. I'm thinking mine should be Space Cowboy. Greg
  19. As an aside, am I correct in thinking E G B D are the notes also associated with G6 ? I need to review my theory also. Greg
  20. Downloads and opening of PDF's work great now. Thanks Steve! Greg
  21. I was going to suggest pinning this but I see it is starred already. Nice Neil Greg
