Topic: Simple Guitar Tricks for Colorful Chords

Did you know that by moving your fingers around the fretboard in a specific way that you can create incredible sounding chords?  It's as easy as a simple shift.

Here's a great lesson to show this simple trick.  Hopefully your chord playing will never be the same!

Thanks Steve.  This type of live lesson is my favorite.  Even if it is review for something I already learned it is worthwhile.  The examples on how to use those chord shapes and then recording them to solo over was great.  I will get a looper to practice this...as soon as I find a good bargin on ebay.LOL.  George

I agree... I;ve heard this before that while the members enjoy the guest artists, they really get a lot out of the "teaching" live lessons.  

BTW @ShadowBoxer86  George I recommend you get the Ditto X2 looper, which although a bit more expensive than the Ditto 1, has a dedicated START/STOP switch, which makes it much easier to use. It also runs on batteries if you want, and you can download saved loops too.

Just looked at this lesson on catch up.  Watching live is not easy!  Fantastic lesson Steve.  Many thanks. They're always great but this was you (and us?) at your best - just you, us, some technique and theory....and of course your impromptu use of the looper!  What an inspiration!...…. I suspect though, I'll be doing more finger stretching exercises for the last shapes.  I have let these lapse over the last few weeks!!!!  

Still have the old Skills House Money Chords PDFs which I always find time to go back over. Years ago - pre-Skills House... I think - you used to go a fantastic tune using these open chord shapes.  Starting above the 12th and running all the way down? Sounded great. I love going back to it and these chords.
