  1. On acoustic you could go to .010 - 0.46 instead of .012 - 0.54.
  2. I started on acoustic but reasons for using an electrical below https://www.justinguitar.com/guitar-lessons/what-s-the-best-guitar-for-a-beginner-bc-010
  3. ROBERT CRAY? Should be included someplace. Eric Clapton? Gone but I will include him Gary Moore
  4. I used the course for a number of years and the course is now in my son's possession.
  5. My wife is taking singing lessons and it really helps with her playing the accordion. I am sure it has affected your playing as well, for the better.
  6. I would not be worried about the blemish. The top will darken with age and it will only be noticeable to you. Yes, a nice looking guitar.
  7. Unless you can do it with a metronome, You don't really have a handle on in.
  8. Sounds like my story except I am 4 years behind. I have started taking group lessons in slow blues with this guy and my motivation and practice sessions are a lot better.
  9. I love the loudbox, lightweight has input for a mic ( we use two mics) and a guitar. The acoustic sounds very natural and we also use a touch of reverb and chorus. Now using the Marshall AS50 with a Ibanez tube screamer with the strat.
  10. Loudbox repaired - one of the pots for the mic needed to be reworked. Nor sure what this entailed but it is like new again.
  11. Larrivee L02 - No frills, but amazing tone and projection, very comfortable and versatile. Put a LL Baggs pickup up in and use it for playing out. I have two other acoustics which cost more and sound good but not as good as the Larrivee.
  12. A much better sound reproduction than I could provide. https://marshall.com/marshall-amps/products/amps/acoustic/as50d
  13. I was listning to some BB King licks and my wife walked in and said is that Robert Cray. I realized then that it was very close and these blues guys are greatly influenced by previous artists.
  14. Loudbox sent to Fishman. In the meantime Marshalls AS50D acoustic amp just entered the house. So far the only complaint is that it is heavy.
  15. Near Fredericton, NB so in the Northeast folder.
  16. My Mini Loudbox is in the repair shop, and I wanted to get a clean tone to play my acoustic with the Mustange 1. As you turn on the power press the tap button and the tone is clean - should be in the manual.
  17. What I meant to say is that ther is good music but it is not mainstream so it gets lost to the average person who listens to the 1-4-6-6 formulated music that get played on radio, etc.
  18. Lots of good music out there but no-one knows about it. Seen this group and will see them again when I can.
  19. Tried that. In the shop now, hopefully it can be repaired. I will find out in the next couple of days.
  20. Tried all suggestions but still get a hum. The only knob which changes the hum is the master. If I turn it way down and use a higher gain it is not to bad. Will have to get it fixed.
  21. Blue Dog - does not quite when moved or touching the strings. Cables ore good, it may be a ground fault inside the amp. Doug - trying to contact someone fairly local to have a look. Thanks for the response guys.
