Was last night, and I just wanted to say how impressed I am with the Katana 50. Its the first time I've really cranked it up and it easily kept pace with a live drummer and bass in a medium sized bar room. I'm even more impressed with it now than ever. Well worth checking this amp out if you're in the market for a reasonably priced amp that will cope with just about anything.  I had an absolute blast :)

I did get some good natured ribbing about my choice of guitar though ...until they actually tried it. I think I managed to change a couple of opinions. It picked up a couple of battle scars along the way which I think would have bothered me had it been an expensive one. I'm going to try my strat for the next one though :)

That is great news about your amp doing a brilliant job. I am sure that the Epi based guitar did a superb job also and that it has earned some respect. ?

I bet the gig was fun! Enjoy, ????

Congrats Ice very nice and as far as the Epi.. I too have a Epi SG 400 Pro and actually love it.  Check out the list of famous Epi Players.. For me its about what I like in tone and value.

Congrats Ice, really happy you had a good time playing live again.  Hope you can post some snippets of the show.  

I'm about two weeks out from my first gig with Rockland Express, and it looks like we'll only have one more practice between now and then.  I've improved by leaps and bounds since hooking up with these guys, but sure wish I'd met them a few months earlier.  I know it won't be a total train wreck, but you don't become a super tight band in just a few practices ever other week or so for a couple of months, especially when you have a newbie like me in the line up.  Just have to push past the butterflies and do it.  This one is gonna be, what its gonna be and we'll get better from there.
