A while back, Steve showed us the Forscore app he is now using to keep up with his sheet music on his iPad.    Can anyone recall which page turn device he was using?     Or does anyone have any experience/recommendations for a page turn bluetooth switch.    I'm looking at either the IK BlueTurn opr the PageFlip Butterfly.   The Blueturn seems closer to what Steve is using and appears to be more compact.   Any thoughts before I give Sweetwater my credit card number?

I use the AirTurn Duo 200 currently with my 12.9" iPad pro and Forescore

My Airturn Duo 100 still runs on my old Android tablet using Mobile Sheets

Hello Gary, Hope you are doing well and continuing-full-steam-ahead with your Guitar Learning. Seems the Gathering didn't work out for Doris and I this year mostly due to the timing of everything else that was going on. I may go the Fall Retreat, have you ever been to one? It's almost in your back yard (LOL).

On to the "PAGE TURN QUESTION" I have in my notes that Steve discussed the software he uses and accommodates (I would assume) the Pageturners. i may be wrong, I don't use my PDFs this way. See the Live Lesson Videos below where Steve mentions them. or just send him an email and request an update on the matter.

24March2021 - 24May2021 - and 29June2021 to see Live Lesson references to:

FINALE - Comprehensive with a Learning Curve

SIBELIUS/AVID - Music Notation Software

museScore - Had a 70% off Sale in March 2021

FORESCORE - For Sheet music, "Got Guitar Questions" 29Jun2021 Live Lesson

Hope this Helps,

Happy 4th of JULY, be safe and have fun.

Gene and Doris

Thanks @Eracer_Team-DougH and @Gene C.    I'll review those lessons again - I know Steve mentioned this not too long ago, but it may have been during our informal time after the Youtube editing break.   I had thought about pinging Steve, but I know he has had his hands full with some other obligations after the Guitar Gathering so was just trying to be respectful of his time.  Besides - I know a lot of you guys have some great experience along these lines!  Airturn has several good options.

Hope Doris is doing well.   I may try to make it to the Fingerstyle retreat - had thought about it for the last two years, but alas Covid got in the way.   Maybe this year.

Gary, I really need to shift my paradigm and get this technology into my routine. Honestly I have  put it off until the paperwork nears knee deep status. Maybe a future LIVE LESSON on the software and associated Gizmos that make up the system would be a good suggestion to present to Steve. Kind of like he did for the pedal board discussions.

Another good resource would be to touch base with Diane  and get her ideas. She may be a fan of all things I-Pad.

I heard the T-322E enjoys travel in the Fall,

Lots of success to you on this, I'll continue to follow this so I can fast track my learning curve.

Gene C

Wrapping up this thread - I followed @Eracer_Team-DougH recommendation and opted for the AirTurn Duo500.    So far it works perfectly with ForScore and paired simply with my iPad.    AirTurn makes a smaller switch that closely resembles a guitar pedal and  can be powered with a 9v power supply which might be good if you wanted to integrate this onto your pedalboard.    I opted for this one because the pedals are a bit larger, and I think it would work better playing keyboard, so it may work for my wife as well.       It has the added benefit of an integrated, removable remote control, so I can also use this to control Powerpoint presentations and the like on my computer.   (So I wonder if I can claim this as a business expense?...hmmm)

I've used the Airturn and a tablet since is started live in the church, so 7yrs??

It's a bit tricky if you have a song that's several pages long and you need to get back to say pg1,

I've never figured out a jump to pgX with Forscore.

But on a two pg song real easy to flip back n forth

See the 500 is a newer version of the 200

Enjoy

Hey Gary, I too use the AirTurn, 4 pedal variety. I generally only use the scroll function so in hind sight , the duo may have been a better choice.

I use Onsong as my song library, best money I’ve ever spent for anything.

Best wishes

Greg

Gary, Thanks for the text -  very much appreciated. Thankfully the flooding SE of here did not effect our immediate area.

How are you getting along with the AirTurn Duo500 ? A step in that direction for me, I took an I Pad class last week after getting it's battery charged.

The hard copy of Sept/Oct (AG336) Acoustic magazine arrived a couple days ago with the Neil Young song "Harvest Moon". See pages 48-49, a Reader's Pick...

Best guitar wishes,

Gene C, London KY

Hi Gene -

So far so good.    I'm not trying to replicate my entire paper library onto the IPad, but as I pick up a new song and want to add it to my repertoire, I scan it into Forscore.    The AirTurn works seamlessly,  but as Doug points out, if you have to return more than 1 page it takes some getting used to.     I doubt I will ever replace all of the paper, but maybe I can save a few trees.
