  2. In case you don’t know yet or wonder about the blues theory, here’s a good explanation of this mini-tonality.

  3. I have an old first-version Vox AmPlug. It works pretty well. Batteries last forever. I wouldn't say the tone is great, but it has what I need - a headphone jack and an AUX IN for practice when I'm traveling, and it will fit in any case or gig bag. I think the new ones have some effects and sound better, and the plug can be rotated, but mine works fine for what it is. After 6 or 7 years I've gotten my $35 bucks worth and then some.

  4. I have no experience with the Taylor, but plenty with the Variax which has some great acoustic models on it including 12 strings, not to mention the alternate tunings. Well worth checking out. The Variax Standard is now built around a Yamaha Pacifica and its a decent guitar in its own right.

  5. Sounding good all. I will not be ale to record while I am on my trip but I will try to get into the next collaboration. Hopefully someone can jump into the opportunity to contribute with a rhythm track. This is designed to be a group effort to learn the process of song writing and recording as well as share our musical ideas. Fretless and Mandy are great ones for helping anyone out, if someone needs advice. Keep it up friends! Greg

  6. Thank you rkl312 you are very kind. ?WANTED RHYTHM GUITARIST ? Please can we have a volunteer to do the rhythm guitar, there must be someone out there who would like to do it? (tip - you can slow it down to record your part and then speed your recording up again if you want to!)
