  1. I know that now my heart can be happy I know that all indications are good I see it now my future before me Like sand in the hourglass Its flowing so good Don't look back Don"t loose your freedom Its all up to you Figure it out Face the day You don't need a reason It all makes sense When you conquer your doubt Now that I know my heart can be happy I see the world from a new point of view Never afraid of the things that await me I know that I'm not a product of you Yes now I'm free my heart can be happy It took awhile but I clearly see All that you've done and all of the heartbreak Is a mirror of you and not one of me.
  2. Steve I just want to say thank you for all you've done. Some people have vision and make things happen for the benefit of the rest of us. You are that kind of person. Someday at some function I hope to meet you in person, shake your hand and say thank you.
  3. Lenny Breau is one of the true geniuses of the guitar. I suppose he is a musician's musician. His knowledge of the instrument and the music is so vast, and I think that's what knocks people out about him. But he's such a tasty player too. I think if Chopin had played guitar, he would have sounded like Lenny Breau. Chet Atkins
  4. When I bought my guitar my salesman said to always store in in the case with this little humidifier insert I bought. So I've always done that. In fact when I've left it out overnight after some late practicing I always feel guilty!
  5. Randy I just finished video 4. What a wonderful gem. I never knew how much I don't know! Anyway I'm working on restructuring my practice time to, in a small way, try and learn more about music. Thanks again for sharing.
  6. Interesting. Great song. Thanks for posting!
  7. @DianeB I just ordered the Edly book. Thanks for the recommendation!
  8. I just talked to the Yamaha dealer here today and he is getting some of the Yamaha CGX122's in stock soon. I'm so glad I talked to him because i was about to pull the trigger on Sweetwater.com without playing. He is getting both the cedar and spruce tops which is good because I wasn't sure which way to go. Now I can see for myself what I prefer.
  9. @rkl312 It's a joy helping you out. And, learning is a real encouragement to your soul. Quote from Steve Krenz tonight in the chat room. He is so right. What is your soul? Your soul is your journey to follow your dreams.
  10. Wow that must have been quite an experience!
  11. Randy that was a fascinating video. I love to hear how great guitarists approached the instrument when they started playing. Their passion for learning is very inspiring. Thanks for sharing that one. Awesome! Robert
  12. @Popeye I saw this video for the first time last weekend and it sounds so beautiful. I have watched Gabriella on many occasions, including with Tommy. She is equally awesome You are correct it is very inspiring. Thanks for posting. This is my favorite kind of playing. Robert
  13. @Plantsman13 this is the first time I've had the pleasure of seeing this artist. I love his playing. Thanks for posting. Robert
  14. Wow Neil that guitar is a real beauty. i just love the color and overall look. Now let's hear it!
  15. That is a great looking guitar. Congratulations! No doubt you will really enjoy playing it!
  16. @KYSLOWFINGERS I am 5 9 and I have it on the lowest setting, about 6 inches. I havent played around with the height much. It's comfortable for me where it is. Maybe get some books and stack them at different heights to see where your comfort level is. Robert
  17. @matonanjin that is simply wonderful. I have a huge soft spot for children, especially those that grow up in difficult circumstances. You can see the joy on their faces that you guys provided. You get back what you give in life. God's bless you two.
  18. Thanks everyone for the excellent advice and videos. I look forward to watching them and trying to apply.
  19. I'm having a heck of a time adding vocals to the songs I am practicing. I get my strumming pattern down and then when I try to add the vocal my strumming hand wants to mirror the inflections of the vocal, throwing the whole thing off. Has anyone else experienced and overcame this? Robert
