One of Glen Campbell's hits was Southern Nights with a picking pattern Jerry Reed taught him. Here's a video of the two of them playing it. It's a blast. Lotsa luck.

Wow, the old Allen Toussaint tune, I haven't heard that since it was on the radio in the 70s. Thanks, John.

I had completely forgotten about that song from back then.  Thanks @DianeB and @John Wells

Thanks John, love that song as well as Rhinestone Cowboy. Surprised with Jerry Reid's skill, didn't know he was a player. I watched a documentary of Glen's final tour when he was accompanied by his daughter, who is an excellent guitarist. What I found interesting was as his Alzheimer's disease progressed he lost the ability to remember the song lyrics, so teleprompters were placed around the stage. Amazingly, he could still instinctively play all the chords.

Oldjock, surprised to find you didn't know that Jerry Reed was one of the best pickers in Nashville. He was also a character. Here he is playing guitar with Chet. Notice that he's playing a MacPherson, one of Steve's favorite guitars. Enjoy. Lotsa luck.

@Oldjock   Jerry Reed was also one of the Certified Guitar Players of Chet's elite group.  Not a small feat for sure.

I guess I must have missed all of Jerry's guitar shows, I can only remember him from the movies. Very funny guy.
