Considerably lighter. My PRS HBII is 6.4 pounds, while my ES-335 is 9.0, It is my lightest electric guitar, with my Tom Anderson Hollow T in second place at 7.4.

I'm not sure about PUP's. I didn't get to demo anything - bought mine on the internet. I love the blue, but there are reports of the PRS blue guitars fading if left out in the open. I keep mine in the case. -
