  1. Thanks for your useful feedback, @UncleHammy, @NeilES335, @mark_h and @IanD. I guess I wanted to put too many of my newly learned licks into this improvisation ?. By learning the blues language and going back to the basics, I now really appreciate and enjoy the pentatonic and blues scale. Wim.
  2. I would suggest to work on both in parallel. Wim.
  3. This month I have been working on some sessions of the L&M Blues Guitar and Blues Licks from Justinguitar. So my entry is not really an existing song but just a blues in Gm with some improvisation. I was looking for an appropriate name, and found out that Celestine is a sky blue mineral. I am making my first (baby) steps in improvisation, and any comment on my trial is appreciated. Thanks for listening, Wim.
  4. I learned Autumn Leaves from a series of videos from Justinguitar. This is the link to the intro: https://www.justinguitar.com/guitar-lessons/autumn-leaves-introduction-ja-520 Wim.
  5. Beautiful, Ian. I enjoyed listening ?. I am surprised with the quality of the Voice Memos recording on iPad, and will try the same for recording my acoustic guitar instead of using the build in piezo pickup. Thanks for posting. Wim.
  6. I second @V7#5b9. Session 17 is very useful as another approach to learn to play major scales, and the 3-notes-on-a-string exercises were part of my daily practice routine for many months. To learn the notes on the entiteit fredboard however, I used another more direct approach explained in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuzB2_O8GGM Wim.
  7. Very nice, @WATSON43. Great solo with beautiful diads. Thanks for sharing, Wim.
