Is there a list of the pentatonic forms and the lowest fret to start at for the 13 scales (C, G, D, A, E, B, F#, F, B flat, E flat, A flat, D flat, G flat)? Thanks for any help. FYI, In my account I can create new topics but not respond so I'll respond with a new topic. I saw Nutty 1's work around but haven't tried it due to time constraints.

Hi mm66...

See if this (attachment) is of any help.  Takes a little bit to figure out what's going on with it, but once you do, perhaps it resembles what you are after.

Lets see if this helps. A minor And C Major . Are in the first position  the fifth fret. that is the position for all Root notes. If the root is D you play the first position on the 10th Fret. same as Am and C on the 5th fret. all the pattern move up the neck till you run out of space but they continue back at the Nut.  If you use the First position at the 12 fret . then you have the other four position start back at the nut.  Position 1 is the root . Position 2 is the next note in the Scale . position 3 is the next note in that scale. and so on. The positions move to fit Scale of the Root Note.

Just a minor, pedantic point: there are 12 semitones (or frets if you prefer guitar speak) in an octave, which means there are only 12 possible scales and therefore positions. Any beyond the 12 will be enharmonic equivalents, eg. F# and Gb, C# and Db, etc.

Sorry, for being so late to the party.  I don't know if this "list" will help you.  You can put in any scale and then it will list the 5 boxes' position on the fretboard.  You can click on the box you are interested in and it will highlight that box or you can click "all".  It will work for minor and major scales.
