Cream 1969. Eric Clapton and George Harrison teamed up to write Badge.Can’t say much about the lyrics but, the name seemed a little odd. Some folks think the name is referring to a chord progression. In actuality it’s kind of funny. George had a note attached  to the lead sheet that said “Bridge” and Clapton thought it said Badge. Harrison for contractual reasons couldn’t  be identified as the rhythm guitar player on the record. The record gave credit to L’Angelo Misterioso.

George and Eric traded back n forth a few times 

Eric being on While My Guitar Gently Weeps

they also traded wife Patty Boyd a few times 

Eddie Van Halen wasn’t credited on Beat It and never received money for it as he wasn’t allowed by the band to play out. He did it for free
