  3. This song is a “social commentary “

MTV channel and the music video was just getting started

also in the 70’s microwave ovens were large like Frig’s  not those neat little boxes that sit on you counter now.

Mark and many other musicians would have heard the comments about not working very hard to make music.

Esp compared to a group of people that had to do lifting heavy things every day for whatever minimum wage was back then. When you see musicians making millions. (Look at a Swift person making billions)

parts of this song are now considered socially unacceptable in content

but “maybe get a blister on your thumb” would directly imply the musician wasn’t working hard

another song Take’n Care of Business has  several lines in it

”people see you having fun just  lying in the sun, Tell them that you like it this way

it’s the work we avoid, and we’re all self employed. We love to work at nothing all day”

Yes BTO heard those “you don’t work hard at all” comments, so it ended up in their song.

Yes Mark and the band made “money for nothing and they had chicks for free”

  4. Check out Rick Beato’s video

he had AI create a whole band and write a song In 2 different genres.

he wasn’t impressed but he had people listen to it and they said they’d listen to the “band”

  5. Since the demise of Learn and Master Guitar series and Legacy Learning Systems as a corporate entity. The forum here has been on major decline since like 2012. There’s no real cohesive force driving people here.
YES there needs to be a new version of LMG to train the next set.

Steve is the chief, cook and bottle washer  and hair designer; he does what he can

his Live Lessons on Tuesday night are the main draw now

    with new guitar lessons weekly

he also runs a great Fall Fingerstyle Retreat (check the store link at the top of the pages)

Btw there are new measures for signing up to the forum . It was implemented in the spring as there was a wave of spambots hitting here.

we’d all love to see the forum back to what it was.
but for now the chat in the Live Lessons Tuesday are where most people are

PS I checked Amazon price for the book , hard cover $79cdn yikes

  6. It seems you have an odd set of posting here in a Guitar Forum.

our main focus is guitar playing, getting better at music and for some learning to play gig's (which I can attest is very difficult)

this is not a forum on AI song stealing and in this case a discussion on how to become a DJ.

If you want DJ advice.. go to Guitar Center .com and type in DJ equipment. you'd get lots of gear and price points to choose from.

nobody uses 'records' in DJ'ing any more

and Guitar Center search will provide you help on your quest.
