So I bought a book of Eagles Songs in the beginners section. The songs have the chords, but no where in the book does it give a strum pattern! Any suggestions on what to do?

Fred

Fred, unless you can find a good printed source, I think your best options are to listen carefully to the recordings, and watch any video of the Eagles, or YouTube lessons, you can find. I've been working on Eagles tunes since I was a teenager. Here's one printed strum pattern, from Acoustic Guitar magazine (May 2016) for "Tequila Sunrise".

Break it down in counts like DianeB post. in that one it is 1, 2an, 3, 4 . and then 2, 3, 4. no strum on the seconded 1 its a pause. is the best way. you have to count it as 1 an 2 an 3an 4 an, but only hit the strings on the count above. Good luck. post a pic and we can figure it out.
