After playing for a while, recording is a natural evolution for a guitarist or any musician really. Let's have a discussion here and share your experience and questions about Recording Gear, DAW's (Digital Audio Workstations), microphones, and recording techniques. We can all learn a lot, and produce music we're proud of!
Hi everyone, I have been working through some training resources from 'Udemy'. There is a lot of rubbish on there, but I have found two courses that I think are excellent and very good value for money. One of them is a course on using Logic Pro X, a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software from Apple for recording, editing and mixing music. The software is immense, with lots of features you'll probably never use and the whole process of recording and mixing can be confusing and time consuming if you don't know what you're doing. The course I've been looking at is called 'Music + Audio Production in Logic Pro X - The Complete Guide'. There are 14.5 hours of video instruction, with each video lasting typically 3 to 12 minutes. I found it really helpful that the video shows the guy's screen as he actually talks you through various tasks in the software. I have learned so many useful tips and would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who is using Logic Pro X. Ian
