  2. Thanks @Eracer_Team-DougH. it's good to be an uncommon guitarist. It would be interesting to perform. I've been thinking about it for a number of years. I usually post online just some videos performing at home.
  3. I was wondering. I picked up a Hal Leonard Halloween book and wanted to play songs. Most of my friends have left NYC or are not interested in guitar. I looked at meetup. Kinda overwhelming on info. I just want to play some halloween songs and get to know people. I will be asking around for open mike nights in my neighborhood or a google search. I also thought about set lists. I never composed a halloween song. It may be my first. This is the first time I will be celebrating a Halloween guitar performance.
  4. the bottom number = fret position 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 8th fret 6th string is the C note at that Octave. the C major scale can be played at multiple points. In your example, you just follow along playing C D E F G A B C then it keeps going down to all six strings start at the top Bass 6th string (Lo E string) play those three notes C D E then 5th string F G A BC and EF are the naturally occurring half whole notes in the C major scale intervals as I understand. Laws of a Major scale All notes C D E F G A B C C Starts the scale and ends the Scale Scales are good practice. however they are the cornerstone of a good solo. maybe others with more wisdom can chime in.

  9. The 11 C notes on all strings 20 fretted guitars. This can be helpful in finding the C scale across the fretboard. It's a tip and trick that I just learned. I can then play the scale up and down by listening to notes and practicing the scale. I hope this is helpful. Bottom strings of the guitar String # 1 High E: C notes = frets 8 and 20 String # 2 B: C notes = frets 1 and 13 String# 3 G: C notes = 5 and 17 String #4 D : C note = frets 10 String #5 A: C notes = frets 3 and 15 String #6: Lo E: frets 8 and 20 Top strings of the guitar

I looked through your meetup.com's link. I decided to subscribe to Youtube premium and listen and learn from Segovia and other styled guitarists. By studying tape I will learn how I naturally learn audio/visual/kinesthetic at the same time. A side note . I just learned all the fret board in general and the c notes 11 of them in my 20 fret guitar in particular. Do you think anyone will find it helpful?

  18. Thank you for the advice. Just trying to build a routine of mastering the basics. I want to focus on the basics and boring work now. So later I can play whatever I want. How I want. I want to thank you for the recommendation. I have to book on apple. I would like to get a paper copy later. After I finish some other guitar playing. I have a budget wire music stand. So, a book wouldn't stay on. I really am just feeling out different styles. I just thought that the improv of Jazz. And Jazz guitarists like Joe Pass, Tommy E. C.G.P., are interesting. Long story, short. Thank you!

  24. Good Evening Ms. DianeB, I just finished watching Mr. Steve Krenz's video. It's a great start. I will get to dig deeper into the forums. Still Navigating. I looked at the book recommendations. They look great. How do you recommend using the forums? Post a question or idea? Search a topic? comment and reply on interesting topics? Thank you for all your help mam.
