Hello Everyone,

I just finished session 4 and I thought I would describe my experience to offer some perspective and hopefully encouragement to others working through it.

But first, I want to thank Steve for putting this incredible lesson series together.  All your effort and hard work really shine through.

I'm a 61 yr old beginner with no musical background or ability and it took about 16 weeks to finish.  I tried to get in an hour a day on my Strat. I was out of town part of that time and missed a day here or there etc.

When I could play something twice in a row at recommended speed I moved on to the next.  For the 8th note octave jump exercise my goal was 50 BPM and that took about 2.5 weeks.  Fur Elise took 3 weeks to get to 76 BPM and The Entertainer took 1 week.

I really enjoy the process and making incremental steps.  On to Lesson 5!

Best Regards,

Bill

That is good to hear, Bill. All the best for revision times in the first 4 sessions and for enjoyable progress through session 5.
