Picked up an old Hiet deluxe( 70’s?) it has a painting of a field and horses ,I’ll assume acrylic flat paint,E Francis 2015 ,despite E ‘s artistic endeavor I prefer the look of a nice clear coat over wood on a guitar and would like to return this guitar to its musical roots and original look without ,if possible , messing with the original ,probably laquer ,finish what is the best ,least offensive acrylic  paint removal liquid.this is a solid guitar that will play again it just needs strings and pegs and some cleaning up.

I used isopropyl alcohol successfully as a first step in this renovation, this is my first work on an acoustiic ,I’ve built a couple Cigarbox guitars and after learning about guitars a bit I saw this one in a consignment shop and felt it should be making music instead of being a mockeryhung on a wall.I hope you all will forgive me and accept this as my introduction.Im barely a musician but love woodwork and music instruments. If anyone can fill me in on the age or any info on Hiet guitars please do so.I do know they are not high dollar and not made any more but that’s about it.IMG_4091.thumb.jpeg.289aedf1e9f3f4438180f7694f9e67e8.jpegIMG_4094.thumb.jpeg.e5619d2c9fbbca95becffeeaab70245a.jpegIMG_4095.thumb.jpeg.8e3ddb30575ef57146047bced6f264c9.jpegIMG_4096.thumb.jpeg.34cad3a9d5a02daea0e30da1bdf4bc80.jpeg
