Ron, congratulations on the guitar and your anniversary to a great lady. I am also a Santana guy and I have been casually looking for a PRS hollow body to go with my PRS Santana. I would love to read your review of this fine instrument. Oh and keep it stock for a while, the guys on the PRS Forum would have you stripping it immediately.

Fantastic story Matonanjin and Pat. I am just starting this process with my grandaughters 8 and 10. Both birthdays are this spring, so I am searching for those 3/4 size guitars. I have a couple of solid leads through friends.

For acoustics I like the Seagull brand. Well built (like a tank), sound good and great value for the dollar. With my large hands, the 1.8" necks are quite comfortable. Best of all, I'm not afraid to take them anywhere.
For electrics I am drawn to the Paul Reed Smith (PRS) brand. Stunning looks and beautiful sounds.
Basically I look for an economical guitar which is comfortable and sounds good to me. An expensive guitar will not make me sound any better.

When I bought my PRS Santana, there was a sign hanging behind the counter. “Your wife called and said it was OK!”

Thanks Steve. This forum is what really keeps me motivated. As you said each one of us is climbing the mountain. I think it is much easier to climb as a team, rather than solo.

It's been so cold (-30C) and dry here (25%) That the guitars are all in their cases with humidifiers.
Even the whole house humidifier can't raise the humidity without causing condensation on the windows.
