https://www.archtopfestival.com/ September 20th – 22nd, in Arvada CO (NW suburb of Denver). -- Archtop expo on Saturday and Sunday (23 luthiers currently listed) -- Live music performances Friday through Sunday -- Workshops (some on building, but most seem to be on playing) -- Luthier Demo performances Lots of good luthiers. For example, in Monday's Live Lesson of the Boutique Guitar Showcase, I was really taken by the Fugue from LHT Guitars...turns out they'll be there. One person in the Live Lesson asked in the chat about Linda Manzer (the Canadian luthier famous for Pat Metheny's Pikasso and baritone guitars)...she'll be there. A ticket for the expo, two full days of workshops, and admittance to all the live performances is $59, which seems like a steal.

New Flying Colors record coming! I'm a HUGE fan. The band is an amazing blend of many stylists and includes Steve Morse on guitar, Dave LaRue on Bass, and Mike Portnoy on drums. Here's a song from their upcoming 3rd studio record, and if you like what you hear, you MUST get their self titled debut.
