Hi guys,
Started yesterday again with Session 3 after I quit earlier in Session 5. My practice routine for the moment is the following:
1. The finger exercises from Session 1
2. More First String Exercises, More Second String Exercises & More First and Second String Exercises from the bonus resources. I say the notes out loud when I play them and didn't wrote the notes above the bonus exercises.
3. Set a timer for 3 minutes and play the C and G7 chords with changes on the beat at 90 bpm 75% (working to 90 BPM). Still don't' sound great, but I am working to strengthen my fingers and hand.
4. Playing Ode to Joy and Jingle Bells with the Jam tracks and London Bridge is Falling Down and Skip To My Lou with a metronome at 90 BPM. Also playing the 2 string songs on this website (https://www.guitartutoronline.com/beginners/practice-songs/2-string-songs)
5. Playing the Eight Notes Exercises and the Third String Exercises in the book and the bonus resources with the tab.
6. Playing Mull of Kintyre and When I Need You from Easy Pop Melodies with the notes written above from the third string written above the staff. Also practice the songs from Session 3 in the book. -
I started over a week ago with the program again and I am now at session 3 (Last time I reached to session 5) , but can't also still not play the C and G7 chords smoothly. What I do is set a timer for 3 minutes for example and set the metronome on 90 bpm 50% and play the C chord for 1 whole measure and then the G7 chord for 1 whole measure and so on. After that I do the same with half measure and after that with 1 beat and then speeding up to 90 bpm. Now I am at 75% of 90 BPM.
Also for learning the notes I wrote the notes in my textbook and when I play, I say the notes out loud. In the bonus resource I didn't wrote the notes above it to force myself to memorize the notes on the strings. I also start with exercises from the previous session before I add new concepts to my practice session.

Hi guys,
Do you have some recommendations for extra sheet music/songbooks to practice the notes on the first position?
I have already the Easy Pop Melodies from Hal Leonard, but I want some extra practice material.
Thanks for your help!
