I've never seen one. I think you should find the style you like most and start from there. There is a thread on this site that asks the question, "how many guitars are enough" i think the overall agreement was "just one more".

I started a few years ago and life got in the way. I retired this past Saturday and I am going to take another go at it. Steve is a great teacher. He sounds like he knows what the mere mortals are going through and makes us feel that it's OK to be a beginner.

I found a like new Martin D-X2 12 string on one of the internet selling sites. I got a good deal, and then ran across Steve's YouTube on Travis Picking. I think they will go good together.

If you want it and can afford it why not get it?
When I could afford a 1966 GTO I didn't want one. Now I want one and cannot afford one.

I just put the D’Addario humidity control packs in 3 guitar cases. In GA the issue is usually to much humidity but in the winter months I do like a fire in the fireplace and this dries up the house a good bit.
I use Boveda packs in my cigar humidors for the same reason with good results.

I have a Martin D-16 that I like. I only have it because of an insane deal I got on it at a pawn shop. I also have an Alvarez that I think sounds pretty good.
I have never played a Gibson or a Taylor. I guess I need to get out more.

Greetings,
I got the Learn & Master course a few years ago and started the trip back to the guitar. A life long self taught (and it shows) player. Once again life got in the way of my road to fame and fortune.
Well February 6th will be my last day of working "for the man" LOL and I have decided to take another go at learning the guitar. Maybe with all my free time and Covid-19 stay at home directives I will be able to stick to it.
Wish me luck.
P.S. I have no idea why my avatar is upside down.
