About Me
Since the age of nine I spoke about wanting to lay acoustic guitar, but it wasn’t until I was fourteen that a close friend taught me a handful of guitar chords and invited me to join his garage band but I only played blues harp accompaniment. Not long after that I purchased an acoustic guitar for $90. The year was 1979. I practiced my friends guitar songs, also, in The Compleat Beatles, John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, Neil Young, and I’m pretty sure, songs by Bob Dylan. I was practicing in the house so loud and vigorously strumming that my older stepbrother told me once that if I didn’t stop playing he would kill me.
Thankfully, I kept at the guitar, playing and home recording hundreds of my own unpublished songs, taking private guitar lessons off and on over a forty year span and sometimes performing at open mics in coffee houses or on the streets of Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
Perhaps all of that is going to pay off because a well known Nashville music producer hopes to work with me in the near future to help me put out a debut CD, and to perform a concert tour following its release. The thing is I will make the CD but as a public music performer - that is yet to be seen.
That’s probably enough background info. But thanks for asking.
