I am now 61 years old. I took a few guitar lessons when I was 16 and able to drive. We lived in the country so going to a large enough town that had guitar lessons was an effort. When I moved out at 18 I no longer could afford the lessons, so I stopped. I have never lost the desire to learn the guitar and so I continue to piddle with it. Now life is slowing down and I am finding time to work on the guitar again. I really like the book and CDs along with this site. I am hopeful that within another year I will be able to say I can play the guitar. So far I only know 1st position and have a limited knowledge of music theory. This all helps.
