About Me
I have the 2006 version of Steve's "Learn & Master Guitar". I.E. Before Gibson. I have started the course a few times over the years on a new Taylor 310 acoustic. The last time I started was January 2019. After a few weeks my fretting hand pain did not go away especially in my thumb joint. My Taylor 310 had never been setup by a luthier so that may have been part of the cause of pain. I don't have arthritis so I attributed the pain to guitar playing and stopped.
In early September 2020, I decided I to either sell my Taylor 310, start learning on it again OR buy an electric guitar to learn on.
Yesterday I sold my mint condition Taylor 310 and received my D'Angelico Excel DC and a Boss Katana MKII 100.
Although there are many more online resources to learn guitar then there were in 2006, I believe Steve's course is still a great path to learning guitar. I also believe the major factors of success with guitar is persistence in following a course, practicing everyday and having some fun playing.
