Greetings;Greg

I have a 1968 Ovation Balladeer acoustic, with Sitka spruce top and the classic deep bowl parabolic "Lyrachord" composite back. It's in original fine condition. There was a "non slip " rubber pad glued to the underside between the upper and lower bouts, to prevent slippage on the knee when playing seated. I still have the pad but want to be careful about what adhesive I use to repair it.... Any thoughts?  Thanks very much for being a great friend to Guitar Gathering, and for your time.  All the Best!    Neil  (NeilES335, moderator Guitar Gathering)

Do you mean something like this?

Ovation non-slip pad

I have a 2008 Ovation Standard Balladeer, but mine has the contoured mid-depth bowl so slipping is not a problem.

I use a similar product with my Composite Acoustics guitar - it slides all over the place without the pad.

@NeilES335 - do you want to be able to remove the pad occasionally - or do you want to glue it on permanently?

I emailed Greg directly and he was kind to answer promptly. He suggested I just use double sided tape. Duh... I had not thought of that... He also gave me a rough idea on what my guitar is worth today too.  Thanks @Greg Voros
