Well that was kinda cool, with an "old timey" feel to it... yes, don't we all avoid this key?  She reminds us that it's not always necessary to play the root of the chord and therefore simplify the fingering. I've learned that partial chords /triads/diads are often the way to go, as in jazz and blues.

ps If we want to play with a brass band learning to play in Bb (their natural key) helps.
