heme:  Holiday Festive Time

Description:   Any song about your favorite winter holiday or activity.  Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus, skiing, sledding, skating, snow boarding, snow shoeing,  mushing,  polar bear plunge, snowmen, snowwomen, snowball fights, shoveling snow (for you really sick people), ice fishing,   I am sure some of you have other things in mind as long as it is festive it counts.

Deadline: 11:59 PM PST  Dec 31, 2018

SUBMITTING: To complete the challenge, record an eligible song and reply to this thread with your your direct-linked or embedded track (Soundcloud's great) before the end of the month.

GUITAR REQUIREMENT: You must play at least one real guitar track heard in the mix.

GEAR: All content must be recorded with your home studio equipment. You may use BIAB or loops as long as you play the majority of the song with your real guitar. This is a guitar playing challenge not a sampling/recording challenge so keep that in mind.

TIME: A recording made at any time before the entry deadline counts, but do not enter a recording in more than one challenge.

ONE ENTRY per person or collaboration. But, I doubt anybody will complain if you want to share another on-theme track too.

NEXT THEME: The person to choose next month's theme will be chosen randomly from those who complete this challenge.

Here's my contribution for this months challenge.  It's a rough recording and i was going to post it on the other thread but i thought is was more appropriate for this months challenge, being the holidays and all. Hope you enjoy.

Hi Danny,

that is an absolutely interesting sound you are creating here. It makes me think of pedal steel guitar.

Beautiful and original rendition. I have listened to it several times. Thanks for sharing.

I've been trying to get my sound to mimic a pedal steel. slow process but its coming alone. Its used a lot in country music.

A bit more than 2 years ago, I was working my way through session 6 of LMG and The Song Hits and recorded this Silver Bells.

Here's a couple of practice session recordings. Recorded on my iPhone, then added a little reverb and adjusted the EQ in Garage Band. Merry Christmas to all!

Here is my offering "I Love the Wintertime" It is an original composed, played and sang by me  using all real instruments except the drums and the sea waves sound (see below). I actually used a ukulele to do the bass (a Kala Rumbler UBass).

This track was composed using "Sea Waves" audio recording (Attribution 3.0) by Mike Koenig http://soundbible.com/885-Sea-Waves.html. I used an EQ to take out some of the lower frequencies so that it would fit well into my composition.
