Fixing/Refurb Stella 2978 H929 Acoustic

So I have it apart.. I don't think I can keep it original too many chips etc in finish. Most of the glue holding front and back on was dried out..Got some pics.

Getting back together will be the fun part.. Like gluing it back aligned. Fixing a small crack.. Suggestions? I'm actually a retired engineering tech. Done a fair amount

wood work but this may need a jig? Its a free guitar, wasn't expensive don't want to get into too much money..

Wow - that is an ambitious project! I imagine that the most difficult part will be getting the top and back realigned with the sides.

Looks like it might have originally looked something like this:

I would be tempted to find a local luthier who would be willing to teach you using your guitar. He can guide and advise you and you can end up with a properly repaired and restored guitar. He will also know how to deal with the chips and the small crack.
