Spring, and life is beginning to bloom again..

It's been a good while since I've been able to spend time in person playing music with others, certainly like many others. Last weekend I met a couple of friends in the park outdoors, distanced and we shared a couple hours trading songs on a warm sunny afternoon. It felt great, and we may have talked as much as played but having in-person social contact again  with other players was a joy. Sunday my jam group will begin to meet again as well. We take turns leading songs, everything from bluegrass to Pink Floyd, alternating electric and acoustic weeks. Great musicians all, I manage to hang in on most songs well enough. Regardless, a great learning time with plenty of laughs and fun. Lastly, my garage band hopes to gather in 2-3 weeks to begin to prepare for a gig in August, my high school 70th birthday party. Ouch...that is hard for me to grab hold of age-wise. Oh, and July has me flying to Nashville for another Guitar Gathering. Life-on-hold is beginning to unfold again for me. I hope it happens soon for all of us.....

I envy you Greg, hanging out with friends playing music. Here in southern Ontario our cases are going up again and possibly another lockdown. Our group tried a Zoom jam but it was a disaster. Everyone is playing solo. Fingers crossed that we can all jam by summer.

Wish I could find a jam group,  but mostly my time is used up before I know it.

But maybe I would "Make the time", if I had a group to hang with.

You figure I'm 10min away from NeilES335,  about 50min from Ron Service, and just over an hour away from OldJock_Henk

[Fretless]

Over here in mainland Europe we are still in lockdown, as of last week it has been extended another 40 days. That makes it impossible to get out other than to the doctor or the nearest food shop. Still, that doesn't stop me looking forward to the day we can start to meet, rehearse and perform again.
