Just curious as to how fast others have pmayed Canon in D before considering it "Done".  Have completed Session 11 and starting 12,  but Canon is still in my daily routine.  Currently playing it at 55bpm but thats with doubling the number of bars ( first D is bar 1, A is bar 2 etc ).  Otrherwise I wouldnt have a hope on lines 3 & 4 😀.  Cheers WR.

@Wackyracer I think I might have been around the 55bpm it was recognizeable but not fluid.

Since it was not my main interest I moved on,

Hello, i have a question about canon in D.

The fingering for the left hand is very well explained and i have no problem with that but i find it difficult to follow what Steve is doing with his right hand.

Is it the intention that i do the exact same fingering with the picking hand or is it the intention to find out what works best for me with those fingers?

 grtz

I have this exact question, but no one has seemed to answer here. :(

I've been doing this course religiously since this April. It's been really great and easy to follow. Then comes Session 10 with the Intro Song & Canon in D and WHAM! It went from beginner level to something way beyond. On top of the two pieces being extremely difficult you also have 16th notes, pull-offs and which fingers are fingering what notes. Most of which were not yet covered in the course. Very confusing!

I share the exact sentiment. Very confusing and frustrating indeed. I want to play these two songs correctly, but very little instruction was given with all the new topics (16th notes, triplet pull-offs, 2nd position, alternating right-hand finger-picking (Steve was playing thumb on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd strings along with other fingers all over the place for Canon in D)). :(

@Cuong Dang you’ll find LMG a fluid course from session 1-9 this gives you advanced basic player

Session 10-20 takes your basic principles and you apply knowledge to learn

as Steve calls them “tools for your music bag”

you have to work Cannon in D via the instruction book following the assigned finger pattern, don’t rely on the video to follow along
