I enjoyed listening to these student play. I always thought playing Classical guitar would be great, but I was scared away by the nut width of a classical guitar. The way they hold the guitar, with the neck up, always made sense. I noticed early on that holding the neck up made your “fingers longer”. One thing I read once by a classical teacher, in regards to barre chords was that you only use the part of the index finger up from the first knuckle, which also made sense, that seems to be the straightest part of the finger. at least for me, but required a “long” finger.

I did eventually buy a classical hybrid guitar that is clearly my favorite. 

Too bad these kids (or parents)need to borrow or shell out close to $200.000 for their education.
