I didn’t realize Jazz was such a big thing in Japan dating back a 100 years.What’s popular today is Wa- Jazz  and Jazz fusion. Jazz Kisa  is a Jazz coffee bar where folks sit and sip coffee while playing Jazz music on vinyl records. High quality record players only in these cafe and some you are not allow to talk. I certainly didn’t know that years ago a Japanese Jazz band opened for Eric Clapton.After watching  a video of Hirofumi Asaba play “All of Me” at a Jazz cafe in Juhla Tokyo. I had to see…  Why Jazz in Japan. It’s an interesting story about an American colony, cruise ships and of course the new staple of human existence War.
