When I was looking at some “Blues”   “Kind Hearted Women” and “Stormy Weather” I noticed that they used diminished chords. I thought they were only used in Jazz. I see that  Steve posted information explaining them and why they are used.
 

I thought I would had  two small details I noticed and a video of using the diminished scale.
 

What I noticed was that if you learned; for example C dim7 …C Eb Gb A you also just learned those three additional chords and that shape (fingering) repeats every three frets on the neck. It’s kinda oblivious why those notes work in the blues.
